Breitling Headwind Men's Watch

The Breitling Headwind is done in the "par epargne" method. This method is very opulent and nearly exclusive to Breitling. The dial is a solid piece of silver with the markers and the writing exposed enamel. This method is done by lightly cutting into the dial and filling the cuts with enamel and then polishing it smooth to be flush with the surface of the dial. The contrast and smoothness is incredible.

The date and day of the week are displayed in aperture windows at 3 and 12 o'clock respectively. Luminous dots line the outside edges of the markers providing nighttime illumination. This chronometer is protected with an anti-reflective coating on both sides of the slightly curved sapphire crystal. Caliber 45 based on the ETA 2834-2 movement drives the watch. 42 hours of power reserve and 25 jewel ebauche make this one incredible timepiece. It is water resistant to 500 meters or 1,650 feet and is perfect for the professional diver, certified COSC.

It comes in a couple of options including stainless steel, steel with 18 carat gold accents and 18 carat yellow rose gold. The round stainless steel case measures 43.7mm in diameter and is 15.3mm thick. There are no sharp edges on the case.

The bezel is easily rotated and is done in a brushed satin finish. The two-stepped crown guard protects the domed crown while providing an aesthetically pleasing look.

The strap is available in steel, steel and gold or 18 carat gold as well as leather or crocodile.
